How To Navigate Change

In this episode

We come face to face with that inconvenient and inevitable reality of life: change.

I believe so much of life’s suffering stems from our relationship with change.

The harsh truth is that: in life, there is only change. So how do we befriend it? This is undoubtedly a life’s work, but I’m devoted to living into my relationship with change by paying close attention to where I’m attaching or clinging and where I’m avoiding or pushing away. Where am I desperately wanting things to change or not wanting things to change? And ultimately, what shifts when I surrender and trust that change is the only constant state in life?

I find such insight in the cycles of nature which allow change to unfold with ease and trust. What shifts for us when we lean into the wisdom of life’s natural rhythms?

“We are cyclic beings, in a constant state of change, of evolution, of growth. Change is one of the only certainties of life. When you resist your cyclic nature, you resist life.”
